A DAY IN THE LIFE
Our Accounts Payable Associate position is located in Irvine CA and will report to the Accounts Payable Manager. As a key member of the Global Business Services team this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
Receives enters and processes invoices in a timely manner.
Ensures all invoices are coded to the appropriate fields prior to sending to the designated approver(s).
Responds to vendor inquiries via email and phone regarding invoice statuses and payments.
Communicates with vendors regarding statement reviews.
Processes emergency check requests in a timely manner.
Codes and routes invoices through automated workflow program(s) and enters changes to the invoices as designated by the approver(s).
Updates billing addresses and emails for internal and external purposes and contacts vendor to update the billing addresses and emails as applicable.
Receives vendor statements and reconciles against invoices to ensure accuracy and performs research as necessary.
Responds to designated tickets within the internal ticketing system to ensure internal customers are assisted in a timely manner.
Exercises safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations including attendance at all required safety training programs.
Participates in companys continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.
Keeps up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training reviewing professional publications and attending professional workshops.
Performs other duties as assigned.
YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
To perform this job successfully individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.
2 years of Accounts Payable related experience
High school diploma/GED
Proficient with Microsoft Office software Google and/or PC programs
Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Solid organization and time management skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently managing multiple responsibilities (i.e. self-starter self-motivated)
Familiarity working with Workday Concur Travel and Expense Reimbursements AP Advantage or other centralized utility vendors
This position may require remaining in a stationary position often standing or sitting for prolonged periods moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another communicating with others to exchange information repeating motions that may include the wrists hands and/or fingers and assessing the accuracy neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
