Position Details:

The Opportunity:

The Student Achievement Specialist (SAS) has responsibility for increasingGEARUP student engagement in their education positive academic behaviors family connection to critical school-based information post-secondary access support for students and families. Duties include but are not limited to providing family outreach and education on college readiness student and academic support services to include student advising assessing participants needs and creating individual action plans.

The Student Achievement Specialist (SAS) will provide student mentoring and will monitor and collect student data for assessment and reporting requirements. Will work closely with school personnel and community partners and participate in classrooms at lunch before and after school evening and weekend activities.

TheGEARUP Program is funded with federal funds by the Department of Education grant whose purpose is to increase the number of low-income and underrepresented students who graduate from high school and successful complete post-secondary education.

This is a full time (100% FTE) temporary position located in Moses Lake WA.

This position is overtime eligible.


Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position expected to end on June 30 2026.

Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.

Monthly Salary: $4050.00
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:

Positions require a Bachelors degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Masters degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a yearforyear basis.
