Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the Chicago IL office.
About Our Client
Our client is a growing plaintiff personal injury law firm dedicated to advocating for injured individuals. They handle a variety of personal injury cases including motor vehicle accidents premises liability and construction-related claims. They are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Pre-Litigation Paralegal to join their team and play a key role in case preparation.
Job Description
- Assist in managing pre-litigation personal injury cases from inception to settlement.
- Review and summarize medical records and bills to support case evaluations.
- Communicate with insurance adjusters and medical providers to gather necessary documentation.
- Draft demand letters and other legal correspondence.
- Maintain and organize case files track deadlines and update case management systems.
- Conduct legal research and gather evidence for pre-suit investigations.
- Handle administrative tasks including ordering medical records scheduling and client communication.
Qualifications
- 1-4 years of experience in personal injury law (plaintiff or defense).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.
