Job Description
Assumes responsibility for the organization administration and management of all phases of a competitive NCAA Division III sports program in compliance with the philosophies and objectives of the Department of Athletics the University of Hartford and NCAA bylaws. Must adhere to the rules and regulations governing University conference affiliations and the NCAA including assisting in the education process extended to faculty staff alumni donors and the community when appropriate. Successfully identifies and yields academic and athletically competitive student-athletes. Mentors student-athletes and assistant coaches in a positive manner while exemplifying integrity. Demonstrates a clear understanding of the NCAA DIII philosophy and a commitment to academic and athletics excellence while building a winning program. Performs all duties in full support of the Universitys mission understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the Universitys students.
