Job Description

VP of Sales
In-person in Orem UT
$200000 base OTE of $300000
The Vice President of Sales at Nexio is a senior leadership role dedicated to driving revenue growth through strategic management and development of the Inside Sales team. This role is focused on maximizing lead conversion through remote selling strategies optimizing sales processes and achieving revenue targets using Estimated Gross Profit (EGP) as the primary performance metric. The Director will implement and oversee the Expected Gross Profit Per Lead (EGPPL) model ensuring Inside Sales Representatives have clear data-driven quotas and enabling precise tracking of sales impact. This role is ideal for a sales leader with a proven track record in inside sales metrics remote team optimization and strategic quota management.
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive inside sales strategy that aligns with Nexios EGP and EGPPL goals.
  • Create and optimize remote selling processes to ensure high conversion rates and achievement of revenue targets.
  • Design and implement virtual sales methodologies that maximize team effectiveness.
  • Establish clear metrics and KPIs for remote sales success.
  • Align inside sales strategies with partner-generated lead flow and quality standards.
Quota Management & EGPPL Optimization
  • Assign quotas based on the EGPPL model using historical lead performance data.
  • Set precise achievable quotas for each Inside Sales Representative.
  • Monitor % to EGPPL as a primary performance metric for the team.
  • Develop territory and lead distribution strategies to optimize EGPPL performance.
  • Create incentive structures that drive desired sales behaviors and outcomes.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Build and lead a high-performing inside sales organization.
  • Manage the Strategic Partner Manager Account Executive and Key Account Manager teams.
  • Implement comprehensive training and development programs.
  • Create coaching and mentoring frameworks for continuous improvement.
  • Foster a high-energy results-driven sales culture in a remote environment.
  • Develop career progression paths within the inside sales organization.
Pipeline & Conversion Optimization
  • Oversee lead distribution and virtual sales funnel management.
  • Ensure Inside Sales Representatives are prioritizing high-value leads.
  • Implement best practices to maximize EGP through remote selling techniques.
  • Create efficient processes for remote lead qualification and opportunity management.
  • Optimize virtual sales cycles and conversion rates.
Sales Enablement & Support
  • Provide hands-on coaching for Account Executives.
  • Develop sales enablement tools and resources for remote selling success.
  • Assist with complex deals and create scalable solutions for common challenges.
  • Implement technology and tools to enhance remote sales effectiveness.
  • Create best practices documentation and sales playbooks.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Track key sales metrics including EGP EGPPL and lead conversion rates.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership using EGPPL metrics.
  • Implement systems for activity tracking and performance management.
  • Create dashboards and reporting tools for real-time performance visibility.
  • Analyze trends and adjust strategies based on data insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Partner Management team on lead flow and quality.
  • Coordinate with Marketing on sales messaging and lead generation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to ensure strong product knowledge.
  • Work with Account Executives and Key Account Managers on systems and process optimization.
  • Align with Risk and Compliance on merchant quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8 years of experience in sales with at least 3 years leading inside sales teams.
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets with focus on EGP metrics.
  • Experience building and scaling inside sales teams in fintech or payments.
  • Strong understanding of remote sales methodologies and virtual team management.
  • Expertise in sales technology CRM systems and digital sales tools.
  • Data-driven approach to sales management and performance optimization.
