Job Description
CDM and SafetyManager
Arc Partnership isa joint venture between Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC) and SCAPE. Formedin 2016 to support the council in creating an efficient safe and sustainableland and property portfolio.
We deliver multi-disciplinary property design consultancy master planning regenerationproject/programme management construction emergency reactive complianceasset management and planned services on behalf of Nottingham County Council
The role will support primarily Arc Partnerships projects including theirprincipal designer designer and principal contractor appointments but youllalso have the opportunity supporting the wider Scape Group and LungfishArchitects.
Your new role:
Were looking fora seasoned CDM and Safety Manager from a construction / designenvironment background.
We think the CDMand Safety agenda is about educating and motivating people to do the rightthing acting as an enabler at all levels be that on site in front of theboard or at safety committees. Youll advise assist and monitor activitiesacross the business to ensure compliance and deliver outcomes ensuring the standardsof performance are proportionate maintained and compliant.
What youll do:
- Youll be responsible advising assisting and monitoring the implementationof Health Safety and CDM management systems across design andconstruction activities delivering safe outcomes for constructionprojects across Nottinghamshire.
- Youll identify monitor mitigate and report on health safety andenvironmental risks.
- Report on safety healthenvironmental and CDM performance in accordance with Arc Partnershiprequirements direct to the Managing Director
- Review accidents incidents near miss lessons learned and trendreviews
- Maintain ISO 45001/SSIP Safety Management System external accreditations.
- Ability to manage varying workload including some challenging deadlines
What youll bring:
Were looking for you to have significant experience in a senior healthand safety and CDM role gained within a construction and design environment. Thisincludes a practical working knowledge of construction and hands on experienceof implementing safety management systems in a construction environment.
Essential:
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
- Chartered Institute of Occupational Safety andHealth (CMIOSH)
- Proven leadership skills able to motivateinfluence and bring about change.
Desirable:
- Member of the Association of Project Safety (APS)
