We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistants to join our healthcare team.
Intellectual Disability Day Service based in Letterkenny
We currently have a vacancy for a full time and part time health care assistant in Letterkenny.
Hours are 09:00 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 09:00- 14:00 Fridays. Occasionally 8am start.
You will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients monitoring their condition and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care including personal care. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills a passion for patient care and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Personal care- assisting with bathing/showering washing shaving oral hygiene and continence requirements
- General observations and updating patient records Providing support and encouragement to patients
- Manual handling- using hoists/slide sheets
Requirements:
- QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (or equivalent minimum 2 modules including Care Skills & Care of the Older Person)
- Relevant experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience working with behaviours of concern would be a significant advantage
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
- Manual Handling & Patient Moving Training (we can provide free of charge)
- Safety Intervention Training( We can provide free of charge)
- Fluent English and excellent communication skills
