JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Physician Infectious Disease

Job Type: Locum Tenens

Location: Flagstaff AZ

Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Coverage Type: Clinical Only

Coverage Period: Jul 28 November 2025

Clinical Shift Schedule: Weeks of 07/28 08/18 and 08/25; Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM with 1-hour lunch

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics: Adults (average age 59)

Patient Volume/Census: Varies based on inpatient census

Admissions: Yes

Rounding: Included

Case Mix: Infectious Disease management no outpatient clinic

FACILITY INFORMATION

No. of Beds in Department: 268

EMR System: Cerner

Specialty Backup Available: 2 employed physicians each working 4 days/week

Support Staff Available: Inpatient nurses and OPAT MA

Reason for Coverage: Locum coverage during specified weeks

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Credentialing Timeline: 30 days

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Rate: TBD

Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Not specified

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Fecal transplant (preferred)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active AZ license or IMLC accepted

Certifications: Board Certification required

Experience: Infectious Disease management required

Other Qualifications: DEA required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide inpatient Infectious Disease consultation and management

Collaborate with support staff including RNs and medical assistants

Work Monday to Friday on assigned weeks without outpatient clinic responsibilities

Utilize Cerner for EMR documentation
