A leading consumer goods manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality and employee-centered culture is seeking a dynamic hands-on Plant Human Resources Manager for a key facility in Macon MO. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives in manufacturing environments and is passionate about building engagement driving cultural initiatives and serving as a strategic partner to plant leadership. The ideal candidate will bring at least 6 years of HR experience—including leadership within a production setting—and a proactive solutions-oriented mindset.


What you will be doing:

  • Serve as a key member of the plant leadership team and HR business partner to approximately 350 employees.

  • Manage a team of 3 direct reports across all core HR functions: employee relations recruiting training compensation benefits and labor relations.

  • Lead employee engagement and cultural initiatives that enhance morale and drive retention.

  • Guide and resolve employee relations issues and promote a positive work environment.

  • Oversee full-cycle talent management including succession planning performance reviews and training programs.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations including EEO/AAP standards.

  • Support staffing needs through effective recruitment and onboarding strategies.

  • Partner with corporate HR to execute strategic HR initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.


Experience you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Business or related field.

  • Minimum 6 years of progressive HR experience within a manufacturing environment.

  • At least 2 years of HR leadership or supervisory experience in a plant setting.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in a unionized environment is preferred but not required.

  • Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
