The Network Administrator plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity security and functionality of the Citys computer network. This position involves planning implementing and managing network infrastructure; resolving network issues; and providing technical support to end users.
The role also focuses on network security and performance optimization. Responsibilities include implementing and enforcing security policies monitoring performance resolving complex technical issues and ensuring a high level of network availability and reliability.

Associatedegree incomputer information systems or closely related field; and
Experience
Six (6)years ofexperience including firewall experience
Licenses/Certifications
Valid drivers license
BCA Certificationwithin six months of hire
An equivalent combination of education and experience closely related to the duties of the position MAY be considered.
Knowledge Skillsand Abilities
Experience in:
network administration including servers storage firewalls switches routersVPNMFAand wireless infrastructure;
network security and remediation processes;
Microsoft environment including 365 administration desktop operating systems server operating systems SQL server Active Directory and Exchange DHCP and DNS;
VMWare;
web and email filtering;
project management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs and applications.
Ability to:
establish effective working relationships with LOGIS and other outside parties;
assist in long range planning in reviewing and setting policy and procedures for the City;
coordinate projects and assist with strategic planning;
accurately comprehend interpret analyze and explain complex information;
analyze problems utilize resources; identify solutions; develop and implement recommendations/proposals;
exercise sound judgment to objectively define investigate and resolve problems/conflicts;
communicate clearly concisely and effectively both in verbal and written formats.
Desired Qualifications
MicrosoftMCSE and Cisco CCNACertifications.
Experience in formal project management.
Previousexperience working with diversepopulations.
Fluency in Spanish Hmong Russian Somali Lao or Vietnamese language(s).

Full-time exempt non-union position subject to a flexible schedule that includes a standard eight-hour work day (8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.); and includes occasional evening and weekend hours. Position participates in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.
Office environment; exposure to computer screens; working closely with others frequent interruptions.
Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 10to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally.
