Accountability: Program Coordinator Laci Bratton & SEACBEC Director Devin McDiarmid You are subject to all WSD policies and procedures.
Work Assignment: 8 hours (7:15 am to 3:30 pm) unless told otherwise (you get a .45 min lunch and a break is taken off the end of your day.)
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED & Degree in CDA or Certificate of Proficiency in Early Childhood Education or AA Degree.
Daily Duties Included but not limited to:
- Greeting each child in the assigned class.
- Planning and executing classroom and outdoor activities as assigned by the teacher.
- Seeing to the welfare health & safety of the children in your class and others you are in contact with.
- Supervising bathroom procedures & assisting in toileting accidents.
- Eating with the children supervising mealtime activities.
- Maintaining confidentiality restricting information about children and families to those with the need to know.
- Carrying out the program of the center in accordance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Maintaining all necessary paperwork.
- Working with the Teacher to keep the classroom and bathroom clean during the day. This includes trash table and toy sanitation cot and sheet preparation.
- Play talk and interact with the children during center time.
- Note taking on Work Sampling as directed by the teacher.
- Attending all professional developments required by your job.
Periodic Duties:
- Lead the classroom in the absence of the lead teacher.
- Attend all staff training and parent meetings.
- Assist in note taking for Work Sampling.
- Bus room monitoring.
