Job Duties
The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as the Dental Contract Monitor in the Health Care Services Division.
Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
This position administers the DMAS contract with the dental benefits administrator (DBA) and monitors on a day-to-day basis to assure compliance with all contract provisions and performance management outcomes.
This position reports all issues of non-compliance with the DBA and the contract measures.
If an issue of non-compliance occurs this position develops monitors and reports on corrective actions plans (CAPS) for the DBA.
This position facilitates coordination on program operations information management/reporting and program integrity required for supporting the operations of the dental program Cardinal Care Smiles (CCS).

Minimum Qualifications
Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications:
Considerable knowledge/experience of Medicaid and health care programs and/or operations.
Considerable knowledge/experience of Medicaid systems and reporting and the implications for a health care program.
Extensive knowledge of contractual oversight within a health care organization.
Considerable knowledge of understanding and interpreting program contracts and all relevant provisions.
Considerable knowledge in analyzing reports to identify trends anomalies or areas requiring follow up.
Considerable knowledge in providing internal reporting on performance and operation metrics.
Considerable experience interpretation and application of federal state laws/regulations.
Extensive experience in meeting deadlines.
Considerable experience with internal/external stakeholders.
Additional Considerations
Competitive candidates should meet these additional considerations:
Considerable experience administering a health care contract by auditing modifying evaluating and rebidding the contract as needed and as outlined in the contract.
Considerable experience ensuring all vendor responsibilities are fulfilled as defined in the contract.
Considerable experience imposing liquated damages when the contractor is out of compliance with contract standards.
Considerable experience developing RFP for new contractor within stated timeframes and experience participating on a procurement review team.
Considerable experience in contract oversight with respect to Medicaid program(s).
