Job Description
Special Education Teacher - (0.5 FTE)
This is a grant-funded position and wil be located at Sacred Heart School in Weymouth.

This is a grant-funded position and will be located at Sacred Heart School in Weymouth.
- Must be licensed as a Special Education teacher - Moderate Disabilities with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
- SEI Endorsement Required
- Must hold a bachelors degree or higher.
- Experience with multi-sensory explicit phonics instruction (OG Wilson preferred)
General Duties:
Guides andevaluatesthe learning experience of the students in her/his classesandaccepts responsibility for the activities ofstudentswithin her/his purview within the school building oron the school grounds.
Specific Duties:
- Provides differentiated curriculum instruction to students particularly for reading instruction
- Provides multisensory explicit phonics instruction
- Participates in curriculum planning and professional development activities as applicable to the student programming
- Keeps data prepares records and reportsasrequired for student progress reporting
- Participates in IEP meetings as invited
- Attends faulty meetings as requested by the building administration
- Executes the SchoolCommitteepolicy.
