You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailPosition Summary: The Urology Team Lead plays a pivotal role in the administrative and clinical management of a dynamic urology clinic. They utilize a team-based approach to ensure the delivery of high-quality evidence-based care to patients while overseeing daily operations. This leadership role encompasses staff management workflow optimization and hands-on clinical support including assisting providers with patient care. The Team Lead acts as a mentor trainer and resource for all staff fostering professional development and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Administrative Duties:
Supervise daily clinic operations ensuring seamless workflow and patient care.
Assist the Operations Manager with scheduling staff managing room assignments and ensuring appropriate coverage.
Monitor supply levels manage inventory and place orders as needed for office operations.
Utilize electronic health record systems (e.g. Epic) to maintain accurate documentation of patient records and administrative tasks.
Identify areas for improvement in workflows and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and quality of care.
Complete required paperwork manage patient tracking systems and coordinate follow-up on patient results.
Clinical Duties:
Prepare patients for exams procedures and treatments including obtaining vital signs and medical histories.
Assist providers during minor surgical procedures using aseptic techniques and adhering to infection control protocols.
Perform point-of-care testing and train staff in clinical procedures according to Health Center standards.
Maintain clean orderly and fully-stocked exam rooms ensuring readiness for upcoming sessions.
Communicate effectively with patients and team members adhering to professional medical terminology.
Team Leadership:
Serve as a mentor trainer and resource for all staff fostering professional development and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Lead pre-visit huddles with team members to ensure effective office visit planning.
Facilitate training and quality improvement initiatives across the practice and organization.
Address incidents conflicts and environmental or equipment issues as needed escalating concerns to appropriate personnel.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes the organizations RESPECT behavioral standards.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Graduate of Certified Medical Assistant Program preferred.
Certifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (Required).
CPR Certification preferred.
Experience:
Completion of a Medical Assistant training program (with certification preferred).
Prior experience using clinical software systems (e.g. Epic or Ochin).
Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Skills:
Excellent communication interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and make decisions based on department policies.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
Physically able to perform moderate bending stooping lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.
Demonstrated ability to uphold strict protocols for confidential and sensitive information.
Strong organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach to clinical and administrative tasks.
