Job Title: Bilingual Facilitator

Primary Purpose:
The Bilingual Facilitator plays a critical role in advancing the academic success and language development of Emergent Bilingual students. Working under the direction of the Bilingual Director this position is responsible for planning implementing evaluating and coordinating instructional programs and services that directly impact student achievement. The Bilingual Facilitator provides proactive campus-level support and serves as a key liaison among families communities and school personnel to promote culturally responsive practices ensure program compliance and drive continuous improvement. By supporting access to high-quality instruction the Bilingual Facilitator contributes to closing achievement gaps and fostering inclusive learning environments across the district.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification
Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
Masters degree (preferred)
Valid Texas teaching certification (with Bilingual and/or ESL supplemental)
Successful completion of fingerprinting and background check (non-refundable fee of approximately $50.00 to be paid by the employee)
Special Knowledge/Skills
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (reading speaking and writing)
In-depth knowledge of TEKS ELPS and CCRS across grade levels
Strong understanding of effective instructional strategies and pedagogy for Emergent Bilingual students
Ability to assess instructional programs and identify effective teaching practices
Skilled in collaborating with administrators campus personnel and support staff
Proven leadership abilities including consensus building active listening effective communication conflict resolution organization time management and fiscal responsibility
Capacity to lead and support campuses in program implementation and instructional improvement
Extensive experience in professional development with demonstrated skill in delivering professional development and facilitating adult learning
Experience
Five years of successful teaching experience in Bilingual/ESL educational settings
Demonstrated experience in campus leadership roles or participation in school-based leadership initiatives
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise and evaluate the performance of bilingual/ESL staff and support staff
Working Conditions: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional standing walking climbing crouching bending stooping pushing/pulling and twisting lifting-lower 1-15 lbs.
Motion: Repetitive hand motions frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching. Sensory ability needs-significant; hearing near vision peripheral vision color distinction depth perception
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment: Frequent district-wide and state-wide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours Physical Exposure: frequent cold and heat
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
