Description

POSITION: IT Support Specialist

Reports to: Deputy Director and Sr. VP of Strategic Initiatives
Team: IT
Status: Exempt/Full-Time
Hours Per Week: 37.5 hours Monday Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Potential for a Four-Day Work Week 4DWW) including occasional nights/weekends.

Compensation: $36500 - $45000 annually commensurate with experience education and certifications.

The Taft Museum of Art located in downtown Cincinnati is seeking a full-time IT Support Specialist reporting to the Deputy Director and Sr. VP of Strategic Initiatives. This position requires a positive highly organized team player who communicates proactively is attentive to detail manages multiple priorities and has excellent communication and collaborative skills. POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Deputy Director and Sr. VP of Strategic Initiatives the IT Support Specialist is the on-site IT support point for TMA team members. This role manages business critical platforms and services. The role will also work closely with the Museums third-party IT management vendor for IT escalation needs as well as infrastructure strategy and execution.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Two-three years of experience with direct end-users and/or help desk support.
  • Strong proven people skills are a requirement.
  • High school plus work experience or bachelors degree in computer science information systems or other related field.
  • Microsoft certifications are a plus.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; flexible and decisive possesses knowledge of computer hardware software applications operating systems database systems web content management internet servers and networks.
  • Expert in principle-based decision-making and know when to enroll experts and key management before taking action.
  • The capacity and capability to work in a fast-paced multitask environment; deal with changing priorities; and work well under pressure.
  • Knowledgeable of budgeting training word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving presentations.
  • Organizational know-how and attention to detail in approaching all aspects of the job.
  • Ability to plan organize and meet deadlines by prioritizing required work.
