Job Description

Position Summary:

ChildSavers is seeking a compassionate mission-driven Clinician I who is passionate about caring for our communitys most vulnerable children and improving the systems that support their healing and growth. As part of a supportive and experienced clinical team this position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of children youth and families while receiving ongoing professional development and support.

As a Clinician I you will deliver trauma-informed psychotherapeutic care through individual family and group modalities. Your primary responsibilities will include case management treatment planning community collaboration and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and funding requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual family and group therapy to assigned clients using evidence-based practices.
  • Develop implement and regularly update individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with Medicaid DBHDS HIPAA and agency standards.
  • Coordinate and conduct intake assessments diagnoses and case management services.
  • Participate in clinical supervision team meetings and multidisciplinary case reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners including RPD RPS DSS VCU and local FAPT teams.
  • Participate in community outreach events and represent ChildSavers in a positive and professional manner.
  • Maintain active certification in CPR/First Aid and behavior management techniques.
  • Maintain required credentials and continuing education to meet licensure and billing requirements.
  • Support agency-wide initiatives and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Masters degree in Social Work Counseling Psychology or related human services field.
  • Required: Licensed or license-eligible in Virginia (e.g. LMSW LCSW LPC-R LPC).
  • Experience working with children and families from a trauma-informed care perspective.
  • Knowledge of treatment modalities such as play therapy art therapy sand tray CBT and attachment work is a plus.
  • Must possess a valid Virginia drivers license and be insurable under agency policy.
  • Must meet all DMAS DBHDS and agency credentialing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in outpatient therapy crisis intervention and trauma response.
  • Training or certification in specialized therapeutic modalities (e.g. Animal-Assisted Play Therapy TF-CBT CCPT).
  • Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
