Job Description

Overview:

Operations Officer Enabling Impact Platforms

  • Full-time Continuing position

  • Salary Level HEW 6 17% Superannuation

  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University

About the role

As an Operations Officer you will provide high level administrative support to two EIP Directors (in Social Change and Design & Creative Practice) and provide a day-to-day operational interface between the Platform Directors and the broader Research & Innovation Capability (R&IC) support team. You will also work with other members of the R&IC team to support EIP activities and embed innovation in the research ecosystem.

Reporting to the Director Social Change Enabling Impact Platform you will monitor Platform projects organise conference logistics and develop and maintain business processes and assist (when ) in delivering networking events communication and planning outcomes. Additionally you will liaise with a wide range of clients internally and externally including members of the business community and government.

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of a range of high-level administrative and secretarial support in both office and committee environments.

  • Excellent planning organising and problem-solving skills.

  • Confidentiality versatility flexibility enthusiasm and a high level of self-motivation and initiative both independently and as a member of a team.

  • Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to prepare high quality documentation reports newsletters brochures briefs fact sheets and professional communications and the capacity and confidence to deal with a wide range of clients internally and externally including executive staff senior academics and members of the business community and government.

  • Experience in public outreach organising events and functions communication strategies and promotional activities.

  • High level competent computer skills with the knowledge experience and advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office software as well as capability in desktop and web publishing project management tools and internet searches.

  • Demonstrated history of behaviour aligned to the RMIT values and professional capability framework.
