Technical Assistant
Two Roles Available - 18 Month Fixed Term with possibility of going permanent

Job Purpose
Working on a range of R&D projects you will support activities in one or more of the following areas; developing new products and technologies developing a fundamental understanding of key coating attributes or testing/supporting existing technologies products and processes
.
Job Responsibilities
Use best practice/past solutions to design develop carry-out evaluate & interpret experiments.
Carry out experimental & standard paint manufacture QA testing & application.
Manage the planning & day-to-day requirements for assigned projects/support activities.
Collate results & produce reports.
Make recommendations for next steps & communicate key results to colleagues.
Conduct participate & evaluate trials/inspections.
Help identify improvement needs & generate ideas for improvement activities/projects.
Work safely & comply with legal & company regulations.
Job Requirements
Secondary education & 6 BCF Level 3 NACE 1 City & Guilds equivalent.
Experience working in a busy laboratory.
Competent in practical coatings skills e.g. coatings manufacture QA testing & application.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
