Overview of the role

The role of Portfolio Value Analyst (known internally as Lead) is to support enterprise planning reporting and governance ensuring alignment with the Groups strategy and objectives. It involves assisting in the prioritization and scheduling of initiatives providing critical reporting on time cost quality risks and issues and fostering a culture of improvement and transparency.

The role also focuses on supporting the implementation of governance frameworks driving continuous improvement in delivery policies and standards and championing a culture of delivery excellence.

You will be a key support for the portfolio engaging with stakeholders as well as assisting with the oversight of value realisation through portfolio monitoring insights and reporting. You will also provide contribute to ongoing uplift and process optimisation activities and some day-to-day portfolio administration.

To succeed in this role you will be a real self-starter who thrives on autonomy and change combined with strong stakeholder communication skills at a senior level. The role is initially a 12-month fixed term contract/secondment but is highly likely to become permanent. What youll do:

  • Support the planning supply management prioritisation reporting and governance across the enterprise
  • Support the planning prioritisation and scheduling of initiatives to ensure clarity and effective assessment of costs benefits OKRs risks and dependencies at a program and portfolio level.
  • Support decision making by providing mission critical reporting on time cost quality risks and issues
  • Support Delivery teams in resource management with robust resource reporting
  • Collaborate across Suncorp and build strong relationships within the functional and Business areas to deliver high quality outcomes and ensure project management and associated governance activities continuously provide value.
  • Support the implementation of the Group governance and delivery frameworks including working with the stakeholders across Tribes Platforms and strategic program delivery and governance processes to optimise the existing delivery methodology and tools (e.g. PPM)

What youll bring:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in project and portfolio management
  • Experience working at large enterprise organisations ideally within the Insurance industry
  • Data analysis experience with the ability to provide insights
  • Strong reporting experience; sound knowledge of finance processes with the ability to interpret and analyse reports relevant to area of responsibility.
  • Sound knowledge of Portfolio Governance methods
  • Flexible and resilient mindset with the ability to hit the ground running and work with ambiguity
  • Strong and proven stakeholder management skills; excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
