Job Description
The Application Support Engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining application performance and reliability within our organization. This position is a 6-month contract based in Tampa or Coppell. You will be responsible for resolving critical application alerts reviewing and updating knowledge articles validating audit responses and implementing disaster recovery scripts. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to identify automation opportunities and collaborate with development teams on application design and processes.

Skills
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE Oracle/SQL and IBM MQ
- Familiarity with SNOW/ITIL processes Splunk and Autosys
- Experience with Linux/Unix and AWS
- Understanding of containers (Kubernetes/Docker) and IIB
- Domain knowledge in Finance and Securities is preferable
- Strong coaching and mentoring abilities
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- Verify analysis performed by team members and implement changes to prevent incident reoccurrence
- Resolve critical application alerts and production defects promptly
- Review and update knowledge articles and runbooks
- Collaborate with internal teams to address application issues
- Validate and submit responses to audit requests
- Implement disaster recovery scripts during outages
- Identify and implement automation opportunities
- Provide feedback during the design and development stages of applications
- Oversee application code deployment and vendor upgrade processes
- Align risk and control processes in daily responsibilities

- Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience
