The User Experience Designer role is part of the Digital Platform team within Client Platform Technology serving and supporting both external and internal clients globally. The required expertise for this role is focused on web technology and digital user experience design. The selected User Experience Designer will be responsible for executing research leveraging user data and transforming those insights into user flows journey maps wireframes mockups and prototypes.
The User Experience Designer will collaborate with many Wellington colleagues to develop solutions that adhere to user experience best practices and brand standards. Wellington is highly collaborative and the user design process often involves iterating and negotiating feedback from peers as well as UX colleagues. As such the role requires flexibility effective verbal communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment. The person who takes this position must also be able to handle multiple projects at once and prioritize that work based on importance and due dates.
Responsibilities
Design effective and functional digital products for our clients by researching ideating sketching prototyping and testing.
Translate ideas and concepts into user flows wireframes mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
Be able to articulate and support design concepts strategy and the rationale behind those decisions based on the goals of the project and the established design system.
Identify design challenges and propose refined solutions.
Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core and new functionality and features.
Collaborate effectively with other team members and stakeholders.
Ask insightful questions take calculated risks and advocate for innovative ideas.
Continuously design new and creative approaches to visualizing data and presenting information that facilitates the understanding of complex financial concepts in a straightforward way.
Conduct quality checks on work from our web publishing team to ensure our pages go live on brand and without any errors.
Be adaptable and flexible in a changing environment and commit to continuous learning to stay current with the latest relevant UX insights and industry trends.
Qualifications
3 years of experience as a user experience designer or similar role.
A portfolio with samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions.
Expertise in UX design software such as Figma Sketch Axure RP Balsamiq and similar tools is essential. Basic skills in HTML5 CSS3 and JavaScript is advantageous.
A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD) including planning and conducting user research user testing A/B testing and addressing usability and accessibility needs.
Excellent communication presentation and storytelling skills.
Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and working directly with developers for implementation of your designs
Experience in applying UX design best practices to create solutions with a deep understanding of responsive design.
A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking.
Ability to work effectively in a team setting including collecting and translating ideas into effective design solutions.

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary variable compensation and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:
USD 65000 - 150000This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.
Base salaryis only one component of Wellingtons total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives if eligible.
