We are seeking an individual for the role of Learning Content Developer in our Fredericksburg VA Training and Development department.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Learning Content Builder at Kaesers US headquarters in Fredericksburg VA you will develop engaging self-paced learning classroom instruction virtual instruction as well as other learning content materials and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough examinations and assessments to understand the learning needs challenges and objectives of the target audience. This may involve reviewing existing materials conducting surveys or analyzing data to identify gaps and areas for improvement in the learning content
Engage directly with customers (learners or clients) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather detailed insights and expertise. This involves organizing and participating in meetings interviews or workshops to discuss their needs expectations and the specific content that should be included. SMEs provide the specialized knowledge necessary to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the educational materials.
Create the structure and layout of educational content which involves planning and outlining how information will be presented to learners. This includes creating lesson plans storyboards and instructional strategies to ensure the content is engaging and effective while also ensuring that the content is compatible and effective across multiple platforms enhances accessibility and learner engagement.
Bring designed and customized content to life by producing the actual educational materials. This involves creating multimedia elements such as videos interactive activities quizzes and written content. Development also includes using various tools and technologies to build and implement the content on different platforms.
Ensuring that content is compatible and effective across multiple platforms enhances accessibility and learner engagement. This can include e-learning platforms learning management systems (LMS) mobile apps virtual classrooms traditional classroom settings and workshops.
The ideal candidate will have:
An understanding of instructional design models like ADDIE Blooms Taxonomy Kirkpatricks Levels of Evaluation.
An Innovative approach to problem-solving and content creation.
A keen eye for visual design color combinations and layouts.
A strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Strong project and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams SMEs and colleagues.
Commitment to professional development and staying abreast of new trends in instructional design and technology.
Qualifications:
1-2 years instructional design experience preferred in instructional design training and development or adult learning fields and/or relevant education.
Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft PowerPoint
Physical attendance at the worksite is required
