JOB SUMMARY
The Literacy Instructional Coach provides instructional support and coaching to teachers and assistants as they work to ensure that each student is able to reach his/her academic potential. The Literacy Instructional Coach models instruction for and assists staff with group and individual literacy development instruction and consistently measures and evaluates student progress. The Literacy Instructional Coach partners with teachers and families through collaboration communication and education. The Literacy Instructional Coach must have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and be well trained in content knowledge and research based effective teaching strategies. The Literacy Instructional Coach performs related duties in accordance with District policies and terms of the teacher contract.
