Risk Control Consultant

As a Risk Control Consultant you are an extension of our clients safety team and act as a strategic resource to ensure they have the resources and information necessary to support a safe work environment for all. In this position youll act as a true consultant to our clients and colleagues and navigate a large array of risk control responsibilities. As a member of the Risk Control team youll work closely with every facet of HGs Property & Casualty unit - including Claims Sales and Commercial Marketing.

• Safety Evaluations: Independently conducts regular evaluations of client facilities and equipment to identify improvement areas. Analyze loss experience to identify patterns and trends from which to build improvement programs
• Technical Knowledge: Serves as an internal subject matter expert on all questions related to occupational health and safety. Provides solutions and strategies to resolve client issues and concerns. Readily adapts and responds to the changing needs of our clients the agency and the industry.
• Client Relationship Management: Builds and enhances relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction loyalty and long-term engagement. Understands and anticipates client needs providing exceptional service and act as a trusted advisor. Uses tools and strategies to manage client interactions track client satisfaction and identify opportunities for growth and improvement in the client relationship.
• Consensus Building: Identify and proposes win-win solutions with clients carriers and consultants. Builds healthy lasting relationships and take active steps to gain the trust of others. Holds others accountable to their commitments and industry-standard expectations.
• Presenting: Leads effective in-person and virtual meetings training exercises or multi-day seminars for sophisticated colleagues clients and prospects. Produce high-quality and differentiated content that further establishes Hausmann Group as an industry leader.

• Maintain a valid Wisconsin Property & Casualty insurance license.
• You have strong communication.
• You have experience organizing and leading investigative visits.
• You have advanced working knowledge of construction manufacturing mining real estate hospitality and/ or trucking industries with a strong manufacturing background preferred.
• You take continued education seriously and have earned an industry certification such as CSP CSHT ARM OSHA 500 or 501.
• You have intimate knowledge of OSHA regulations for general industry and construction (DOT Industrial Hygiene Drug testing laws and best practices) and a comfort level with NFPA standards.

Physical Requirements:

• You are able to work in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
• You are constantly able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• You are constantly able to observe details including letters numbers and colors at close range.
• You may occasionally (up to 50% of the time) be required to: Ascend and descend ladders scaffolds and stairs Hear and respond to alarms signals and verbal instructions in noisy environments Work in outdoor weather conditions Work in confined spaces.
• You are able to move or transport objects weighing up to 50lbs. Frequency and duration will vary.

Working Conditions:

• Position will be based in Madison Wisconsin or Milwaukee Wisconsin.
• Regularly work during our core business hours: Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm.
• A valid drivers license and reliable transportation are required. Estimating 60% -80% regional travel; travel will be to client locations (day trips) mainly around southern WI.
• Work will be performed in an office environment and at our clients place of work. Our clients place of work may include (but will not be limited to) construction jobsites and manufacturing facilities and may require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
