Actuarial Analyst
We have an exciting opportunity for Actuarial Analyst to join our Sydney based team on a permanent full-time basis. The Actuarial Analyst will provide actuarial analytical and technical support to the Actuarial Results team.
Key Responsibilities include:
Support the delivery of:
- Consolidated valuation results from Consumer Commercial Workers Compensation and CTP.
- Monthly Actuarial Results including accounting journals for Finance
- Quarterly and Annual APRA forms
- Asbestos Valuation report
- Consolidated Actuarial Valuation Reports for AAI
- Risk Margin and Claims Handling Expense Reviews
Actuarial analytical and technical support includes:
- Data preparation validation and analysis
- Design or assessment of the reasonableness and suitability of models and results prepared
- Documentation of processes analysis and investigations undertaken
- Preparation of reports to present results.
What youll bring
- Relevant degree in Statistics Actuarial Engineering Mathematics Econometrics and Computer Science related field Mandatory
- Progression through Part I and II Actuarial Exams Desired
- Knowledge of spreadsheet modelling (Excel) and data extraction (SQL or SAS) preferred
- Strong analytical aptitude
- Work as a team member and communicate effectively (oral & written)
- Can work independently/limited guidance to meet the deliverables
