You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe OHSU Electrician provides skilled journey-level technical support for periodic testing corrective maintenance minor modifications and updates of the OHSU electrical infrastructure. Typical duties include performing system maintenance and repairs performing simulated electrical outage testing providingelectrical support for equipment maintenance and documenting results. The position is also responsible forsupporting various other electronic systems such as power metering fire alarms specialized equipment alarmspower plant operations and engine-driven generators. The work will be performed in all OHSU owned anddesignated leased buildings both on and off the Marquam Hill campus. This position reports to the Utilitiesand Energy Manager.
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical infrastructure systems.Conduct periodic testing of EPSS (emergency power supply systems)battery backup lighting and lighting inverter systems documenting resultsof all testing. Replace batteries lamps lamp holders and ballasts as neededkeeping accurate records of maintenance and corrective work done to thesesystems. Program maintain and repair mechanical and electronic lightingcontrols.
Perform system diagnostics troubleshooting corrective repairs andnecessary modifications of the electrical infrastructure systems and relatedcomponents. Provide documentation of the work performed as required byinternal policies and regulatory agencies.
Possession of one of the following Oregon or states with reciprocal agreement Electricians Licenses appropriate to the work to be performed:
Working conditions for this position may include any of the following; Working outside in inclementweather environments containing dust odor high levels of noise high temperatures and exposure to dirtbiological chemical or radiological hazards. In addition you may be required to crawl into small crampedspaces work from ladders scaffolds or other above ground locations including high sloping roofs workingaround moving machinery and in confined spaces.
