EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Working within our forward-thinking Waste Water Recycling department the role will be to safely operate and maintain a diverse range of equipment at our Sewage Treatment works and Sewage Pumping Station sites across the Nuneaton area. However Its not just about operating a Sewage treatment plant and equipment youll protect and enhance our regions environment whilst providing an essential service to the community.
With support and training youll become part of a team of experts who are at the front lineof enhancing our regions rivers. Day to day youll be responsible for making sure our treatment processes are working optimally to deliver this important work. But dont worry there will be plenty of people on hand to support and come up withsolutions to help you succeed. Well also welcome your ideas and a new mindset to continually improve what we do on a day-to-day basis.

The role holder is likely to be based at one of our main sewage treatment works dependant on home location but could also start from home straight to site working throughout the local geographical area. You will be provided with avehicle for business use plus safety clothing and tools appropriate to the job. The position offers an opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team working ona variety of equipment and assets whereyou will have the opportunity to embrace curiosity and develop new skills outside of your normal day to additional technical training required will also be covered.
We also have a competency framework to support your development from New Starter (foundation) through to Skilled with the option to progress to Expert status.
In this role you will be working to ensure our sites and assets are operated effectively efficiently and safely through complying with and contributing to statutory company & treatment works policies and procedures.
We are looking for people who demonstrate a positive outlook and behaviours and can work under their own initiative both unsupervised and within a team are looking for problem solvers and people keen to make a positive impact by looking for ways to help us work more efficiently and effectively. Youll need to have a flexible approach with the ability to react quickly and efficiently to changes on any given day or over the course of the job role. The role has great core working hours Monday to Friday and the successful candidate will also participate in a 24/7 stand-by rota.
WHAT YOULL BRING TO THE ROLE
Having experience inWorking in a mechanical / electrical environment would be advantageous and working with chemical processes would be beneficial.
A full valid UK driving licence would be required for the role.
Depending on experience the successful candidate will be required to complete and achieve either; a technical skills bootcamp or Level 2 Water Process Operator apprenticeship which are delivered internally by our Academy.
