Job Description

Calibrate has been retained by a nationally respected litigation boutique law firm to identify a Chief Operating Officer (COO) who will drive operational excellence and strengthen cultural alignment. The COO will partner closely with firm leadership to reduce operational dependency on partners improve internal systems and coordinate projects across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational & Financial Leadership:Collaborate with leaders in operations HR finance marketing and IT to improve processes align resources and spearhead growth initiatives.

Strategy & Alignment: Understand the unique demands of a partnership environment balancing operational excellence in both the business and practice of law.

People-Centered Leadership & Culture Building: Model an emotionally intelligent and collaborative leadership style that bridges across the firms ecosystem.

Strategic Vision & Change Agility: Serve as a thought partner to the Managing Partner refining and operationalizing the firms long-term strategic change management efforts related to growth technology and talent balancing steady progress with cultural stewardship.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading operations in a professional services environment; law firm or legal adjacent experience preferred.
  • Skilled in managing cross-functional business teams in a collaborative relationship-driven cultureby considering the input provided by different stakeholders.
  • Understanding partnership management and associated decision-making.
  • Emotional intelligence with strong listening skills and presence to build trust with partners associates and staff to support leadership through trust respect and influence not authority.
  • Strong project management communication and change leadership skills.
