College of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine/Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies/The Roslin Institute

Full-time: 35 hours per week

Fixed-term: to 31 March 2028

The Opportunity:

This post offers the opportunity to contribute to shape the research direction of a newly established research group. It will allow you to pursue your research interests in the areas of livestock hologenomics including quantitative genomics metagenomics and epigenetics with focus on a more sustainable cattle. You will work in close collaboration with the groups principal investigator to manage the research group and deliver research outcomes.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Expertise in animal breeding quantitative genetics quantitative genomics and metagenomics.
  • Experience in dry and wet lab.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively towards research group and individual objectives.
  • Track record of research output of high quality and technical skills.
