ABOUT
St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Secondary School is committed to creating an inclusive environment where every student can excel academically socially and emotionally. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Resource Coordinator to ensure that our schools learning resource program meets the needs of our student body. The position is full-time for a one-year term with the possibility of renewal.
JOB DESCRIPTION
St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Secondary is seeking a dynamic and dedicated full-time Science teacher for Grades 812. The successful candidate will be passionate about science education and committed to supporting the mission of Catholic education in a vibrant school community.
Teaching Responsibilities Include:
Delivering engaging instruction in General Science Biology Chemistry and Physics across Grades 8 to 12
Developing and implementing curriculum in alignment with BC Ministry of Education and CISVA standards
Assessing and evaluating student progress to support academic success
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment rooted in Christian values
Qualifications and Expectations:
BC Teacher Certification (or eligibility)
Demonstrated expertise and post-secondary background in science
Experience teaching multiple science disciplines at the secondary level is an asset
Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
A commitment to fostering students academic spiritual and personal growth
Willingness to support the schools Catholic identity and participate in faith-based activities
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to staff development
Extracurricular Involvement:
At STA we believe in the importance of educating the whole person. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute meaningfully to the extracurricular life of the school bringing their own interests skills and enthusiasm to clubs teams service activities or leadership initiatives.

On an on-going basis we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics non-Catholics new education grads and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply. Our major hiring season is in April for the following school year but we recommend that you apply now as we receive an influx of applications.
