About Your Opportunity

As Technical Director Infrastructure Planning & Capital Delivery (IPCD) youll be at the helm of shaping the technical vision and governance for a transformative portfolio of multi-billion-dollar water infrastructure projects. From early-stage planning through to delivery youll lead the implementation of robust technical frameworks tools and protocolsdriving consistency innovation and excellence across the entire asset lifecycle. This is your opportunity to influence the future of water infrastructure and make a lasting impact on communities across the region.

Key responsibilities:

  • Shape the technical direction of a multi-billion-dollar water infrastructure portfolio providing expert guidance across planning design delivery and operations to ensure consistent high-quality outcomes.
  • Lead technical governance and engineering assurance embedding best-practice frameworks and tools to drive compliance innovation and performance across all water network projects.
  • Oversee strategic partnerships including managing the Network Engineering Service Provider (NESP) to deliver expert consultancy services that support project success.
  • Inspire and lead a team of dam engineering professionals delivering complex high-value projects that meet rigorous safety regulatory and sustainability standards.
  • Champion technical risk management ensuring all projects align with Seqwaters risk appetite while identifying opportunities for improvement and resilience.
  • Advise senior leadership and government stakeholders providing trusted insights on engineering standards safety in design and emerging risks to shape the future of water infrastructure in Queensland.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering.
  • Qualification or the ability to obtain registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland.
  • Considered a leader in your field with professional dam engineering experience across multiple states/ countries.
  • Extensive experience as a senior leader including a minimum of 15 years professional experience in leading and managing a multi-disciplinary technical team of professionals in a dynamic environment.

This position will be offered as an individual TFR contract with an attractive salary.
