About the Role:
Join Siemens Mobility for a dynamic role in our growing software engineering team. As a leader in sustainable transportation we innovate solutions that revolutionize the public transportation industry.
You will conceptualize develop and implement high-quality software modules for our leading client-server capacity planning and timetabling system. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and deliver innovative solutions that meet project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize develop and implement high-quality software modules for our leading client-server capacity planning and timetabling system revolutionizing the public transportation industry.
- Improve existing software modules implement new tests and collaborate on bug-fixing to ensure performance and reliability.
- Write clean scalable and efficient code adhering to best practices and industry standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define design and deliver innovative solutions that meet project requirements.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure the stability and performance of the software.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the software development process.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field along with professional experience in C development (preferably C11 or later).
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming design patterns and software testing/debugging methodologies.
- Experience with multi-threading concurrency and developing high-performance software.
- Proficiency in using version control systems (e.g. Git) and familiarity with Agile development methodologies to promote iterative development and collaboration.
- Experience with Qt6 and Docker is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to work with different programming languages is preferred.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
