Tasks
Role Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial records reporting and tax compliance for our fast-growing Bali-based business. This role is vital in supporting our import-based operations particularly managing transactions related to sanitary ware products imported from abroad and distributed across Indonesia. You will work closely with our logistics procurement and operations teams and ensure full alignment with Indonesian financial regulations and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. General & Financial Accounting
- Maintain the general ledger and accurately record all transactions.
- Oversee monthly quarterly and year-end closings.
- Ensure proper documentation and support for all journal entries.
- Reconcile key accounts including payables receivables and intercompany transfers.
2. Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements (P&L Balance Sheet Cash Flow).
- Provide variance analysis and business insights to management.
- Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate historical data.
3. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare and submit tax reports: PPh 21 PPh 23 VAT and Corporate Income Tax.
- Liaise with external tax consultants to ensure full compliance with Indonesian tax regulations.
- Maintain clean audit-ready tax documentation and handle any audit queries.
4. Inventory & Import Cost Management
- Track and account for inventory landed costs and COGS.
- Manage import-related accounting including customs duties freight and taxes.
- Reconcile supplier payments in multiple currencies.
- Collaborate with logistics on shipment and clearance timelines.
5. Zoho System Management
- Use and maintain Zoho Books Zoho Inventory and other Zoho Finance Suite tools.
- Ensure accurate input and reconciliation across Zoho platforms.
- Coordinate with internal tech team to improve workflows and reporting automation.
6. Internal Controls & Compliance
- Ensure alignment with internal SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Assist in maintaining financial controls and suggesting process improvements.
7. Coordination with Departments
- Work with Operations Sales and Procurement to ensure accurate financial data.
- Track margins and assist with pricing analysis based on cost structures.
- Support payroll and BPJS documentation where needed.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- Minimum 5 years in a full-spectrum accounting role.
- Experience with import/trading companies or inventory-heavy businesses is preferred.
- Prior experience using Zoho Books Zoho Inventory or similar cloud-based accounting systems.
