You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Lifting Supervisor is responsible for managing and ensuring the safe execution of all lifting and handling operations during the offshore installation campaign. This includes technical evaluation compliance operational support and continuous improvement in alignment with project-specific procedures and international standards.
Assess analyze and plan lifting operations in line with procedural and safety requirements.
Advise Contractors on HSE expectations and lifting performance.
Implement a structured and auditable approach to lifting operations documentation and competency assurance.
Ensure flawless execution of lifting operations and drive continuous improvement during the offshore campaign.
Provide technical appraisal of lifting and handling operations including planning and equipment suitability.
Collaborate closely with the Company CPLO to ensure compliance with recognized industry standards and internal procedures.
Provide technical expertise in daily lifting activities including lift categorization.
Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification for each lifting operation.
Ensure proper selection and inspection of lifting equipment and accessories.
Participate in toolbox talks job debriefs and assessments of completed lifting activities.
Review and validate engineering calculations for complex or critical lifts.
Attend and supervise critical lifts on behalf of the CPLO to ensure safe execution.
Conduct compliance checks condition assessments and fitness-for-purpose reviews of lifting gear and CCUs.
Support internal audits and investigations of lifting incidents as needed.
Promote a culture of safety and compliance with internationally recognized lifting standards.
Minimum 10 years of experience in the lifting and handling industry including supervisory roles.
Offshore jacket and topside installation experience preferred.
Technical qualifications: OPITO LEEA EAL CPA or equivalent industry certifications.
Deep understanding of lifting appliances rigging equipment and offshore lifting operations.
Familiarity with international standards such as BS LOLER and API.
Strong background in both onshore and offshore oil & gas operations.
Prior roles such as Rigger Rigger Foreman Rigging Supervisor Lifting Supervisor or Lifting Superintendent.
Skilled in risk assessment and supervision of critical and heavy lifting operations.
Experience in planning and executing both critical and non-critical lifts.
Training or coaching experience is a plus.
Must hold valid H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET certifications.
