PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: The Mortgage Servicing Oversight Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality accuracy and compliance of our internal and third-party mortgage servicing operations. This role involves monitoring Servicer performance against contractual agreements regulatory requirements and internal policies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mortgage servicing processes excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders. This position plays a critical role in mitigating risk ensuring borrower satisfaction and protecting the companys assets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Servicer Performance Monitoring:
- Develop and implement frameworks for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to loan administration loss mitigation foreclosure investor and management reporting and customer service.
- Regularly analyze servicer performance data identify trends and escalate potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Conduct periodic reviews of Servicer reports audits and compliance documentation.
- Track and manage Servicer adherence to Statement of Work (SOW) and contractual obligations.
- Servicing Administration:
- Track and decision the disbursements of all escrow funds and servicing advances.
- Review and make recommendations to management on all proposed workout strategies.
- Prepare and upload weekly populations to board with the servicer.
- Monitor monthly borrower delinquency and NSF populations. Prepare and distribute daily reporting and Assist staff in their collection efforts.
- Perform internal servicing duties on internally serviced assets including: onboarding payment processing and application ACH administration escrow administration collection and servicing transfers.

- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Monitor servicer adherence to investor and internal guidelines.
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with servicer operations and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Participate in internal and external audits related to mortgage servicing.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain effective communication with the third-party servicer on all aspects of servicing performance and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g. Operations Compliance Accounting Capital Markets) to address servicing-related matters.
- Prepare and present reports on servicer performance and oversight activities to management.
- Participate in regular servicer performance review meetings.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the servicing oversight process.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures related to mortgage servicing.
- Stay informed of industry best practices and regulatory changes related to mortgage servicing.
- Asset Management:
- Experience managing assets through the loss mitigation waterfall from repayment plans modifications foreclosure and REO a plus but not required.
- Problem solving and analysis
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong understanding of mortgage servicing processes including loan boarding payment processing escrow administration loss mitigation foreclosure and investor reporting.
- Knowledge of relevant federal and state mortgage servicing regulations and investor guidelines.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting with high proficiency in MS office especially Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree
EXPERIENCE:
- Two years of experience in mortgage servicing mortgage operations servicing compliance or asset management.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position is in an office setting with computer and general office equipment. The position requires the ability to move freely around within the department and other department locations
