Job Description
Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various laboratories across Element the Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules code of conduct and company policies and procedures.
Salary: $25- $30/hr DOE
Responsibilities
- Perform environmental simulation tests including:
- Temperature/Humidity
- Thermal Shock
- Salt Spray
- Shock & Vibration
- Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT)
- Ingress Protection (IP)
- Packaging Testing
- Acceleration and Altitude Testing
- Accurately document and support test reporting for internal records and client deliverables.
- Contribute to lab organization cleanliness and safety in alignment with 5S and OSHA safety protocols.
- Interact professionally with clients during witnessed testing events.
Skills / Qualifications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision throughout the day.
- Strong self-management: understands daily priorities and completes tasks without needing frequent direction.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting customer specifications and applying them to test procedures.
- Capable of learning to set up and perform a wide range of tests under the guidance of Senior/Principal Technicians/Operations Manager.
- Strong attention to detail organizational skills and communication abilities.
