Job Summary:
As the Packaging Manager you will lead a team in the design and creation of packaging material for a manufacturing organization.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Establishing the processes and quality control system for package design practices; supervising the teams performance and compliance to the processes.
- Developing standards and procedures to get design packages for both internal and external audiences through packing design team or on-site packaging engineers.
- Leading the design and creation of packaging operations for an organization; Sharing design methods and implementation within the organization.
- Conducting meetings with package design team and packaging engineers to generate creative ideas; organizing and coordinating the teams brainstorming process.
Top Candidates will have:
- Degree or equivalent experience desired
- Previous Supply Chain or Logistics Planning experience is desired
What Skills you will have:
Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
Benchmarking: Knowledge of the concepts methods and tools used in benchmarking; ability to carry out a systematic process for identifying and achieving better performance and practices in a manufacturing environment.
Package Graphic Visualization: Knowledge of visualization tools and techniques ; ability to create images to communicate abstract messages on packages to a target audience.
Packaging: Knowledge of packaging tools approaches and practices; ability to package products and components safely and attractively.
Additional Information:
- The primary location for this position is Decatur IL
- Domestic relocation assistance is available
- Travel could be up to 5%
- Visa sponsorship is NOT available
Summary Pay Range:
$95640.00 - $143520.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
