Your role and responsibilities
In this role you will support Suffolk County Council in meeting its obligations under the public sector equality duty. Youll manage and drive forward actions on the corporate EDI plan contribute to the Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) process and provide information and support through a knowledge hub on various EDI-related subjects. Additionally you will work closely with stakeholders on EDI projects and ensure an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are respected and shared.

The team
The EDI team is a small but diverse team within the wider Inclusion area of Suffolk County Councils Public Health & Communities directorate. The team works with various marginalised groups including refugees asylum seekers substance misusers Gypsy Roma Travellers and those who have arrived via the Homes for Ukraine Scheme. The teams mission is to improve outcomes for these cohorts by addressing issues and barriers they face making it a rewarding environment for those passionate about driving positive change.
