Job Description
Glenmore Christian Academy (GCA) is a private Alberta accredited Christian school located in the Southwest of Calgary Alberta specializing in the education of children in Grades JK-9. GCA is a member of AISCA (Association of Independent Schools and Colleges in Alberta) as well as ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International). GCAs mission is to Teach Truth Inspire Excellence Experience Christ and Serve through Love. GCA has a head of school two principals and a staff of over 120 serving approximately 1000 students.
GCA has an opportunity for a 0.5 FTE Grade 3 Teacher . Under the direction and mentorship of the Elementary Principal this individual will teach a Grade 3 class Wednesday afternoons Thursday and Friday full days. This position is a term contract from August 25 2025 to June 24 2026.

- Ability to make sound judgment and decisions
Qualifications
- Agrees to and adheres to the GCA Statement of Faith without reservation
- Is able to clearly express his or her faith and relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour
- Bachelor of Education
- AB Permanent or Interim Certificate
- AB Letter of Authority
Skills
- Teach students using lessons discussions audio-visual presentations digital delivery and field trips
- Design effective strategies to meet the childrens diverse learning needs
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Fluent in English
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills
- Proven attention to detail organizational and documenting / tracking skills as well as analytical problem-solving abilities
