Job Description
Scope
The Athletic Department exists to develop excellence in athletes so that God is honored in all aspects of their lives and to disciple students spiritually athletically and socially. The position of Athletic intramural Coordinator is to act as a liaison between our elementary intramural programs and the athletic department.
Qualifications
The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect:
- A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit
- A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school
- Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith for Christian Academy
- Agreement and belief that The Bible is the final authority concerning truth morality and the proper conduct of mankind
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Communicate vision goals ideals and philosophy of Christian Academy Elementary programming and expand sport offerings as appropriate
- Organize send out and respond to all intramural communications involving parents
- Schedule all intramural practices through the athletic department
- Secure coaches for all intramural sports
- Inventory all intramural equipment and report needs to the Assistant Athletic Director
- Secure referees for necessary events
- Coordinate any intramural recognition nights
- Coordinate the high school team involvement in the elementary programming
- Assist intramural basketball coaches in the team selection process
- Coordinate all intramural picture days through approved photographer
- Assist in the ordering process of all intramural uniforms
- Assist with ordering all trophies and medals for intramural athletes
- Develop all intramural schedules
- Find site managers for intramural basketball game days
- Develop intramural basketball tournament schedule
- Communicate necessary dates to concessions coordinator
- Communicate with parents to resolve issues as they arise
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to traverse various athletic grounds and facilities
- Prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds at a time
Accountability/Reporting
Reports directly to the Athletic Director.
