Mayo Clinic is excited to offer an opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our GI Oncology team. In this role you will work with MDs other PAs/NPs and providing direction to various allied health staff. You will work five days a week alongside six physicians and one advanced practice provider allowing you to work at the highest level of your education and expertise.


Responsibilities: As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Mayo Clinic you will perform a variety of tasks including:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments
  • Ordering conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests
  • Formulating a diagnostic impression
  • Developing and implementing a treatment plan
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
  • Prescribing pharmacological agents and treatments
  • Implementing non-pharmacological therapies
  • Offering counseling and education to meet patient needs


During the selection process you may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. During the OnDemand interview a question will appear on your screen and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.



Qualifications

New Grads will not be considered at this time 2 years of APP experience in Oncology


Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current AZ RN and APRN license and certification as an FNP ANP or AGPCNP.


Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the AZ State Board of Medical Practice.


Additional Qualifications:
Active BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required.
