Job Description

Position Summary

The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the organization ensuring its financial sustainability and operational effectiveness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the organizations annual budget in collaboration with the President and other relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on the organizations financial performance ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures including those related to purchasing billing and invoicing
  • Manage the organizations relationships with vendors contractors and other external partners negotiating contracts and ensuring timely payments
  • Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards to inform decision-making by the President and other stakeholders
  • Provide strategic financial and operational advice to the President and Board of Directors
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Operations on matters concerning the organizations facilities and operations ensuring that they are well-maintained safe and compliant with relevant laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources on matters concerning to payroll and benefits ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Oversee the organizations technology infrastructure and operations including hardware software and networks

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge Skills and Abilities)

  • Bachelors degree in finance accounting business administration or a related field; Masters degree preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial management and business operations preferably in an educational setting
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles and practices
  • Experience with budget development and management financial reporting and compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to inform decision-making
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Commitment to the mission and values of RCA

This is a Full Time Exempt Position
