Job Description

NSB Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading environmental consultancy to recruit a Remediation Project Manager to join a growing specialist team.

These opportunities primarily fall into four key service areas:

  • Contaminated land and groundwater remediation
  • Invasive plant species eradication primarily Japanese Knotweed
  • Hazardous waste treatment and re-classification
  • PFAS remediation techniques and solutions

To support this growth across England & Wales they are seeking a Remediation Project Manager to join their operational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning coordination and delivery of remediation projects across these regions.

You will play a vital role in ensuring our projects are delivered on time within budget and to the highest environmental and safety standards. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business and be part of a dynamic team tackling complex environmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of remediation projects including planning site management and post-project review
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation permits and environmental guidance
  • Liaise with clients subcontractors regulators and internal teams to ensure projects meet scope timelines and quality standards
  • Prepare and manage project documentation including method statements risk assessments and technical reports
  • Monitor budgets resources and project milestones identifying and mitigating risks
  • Support pre-project estimating and tendering processes in collaboration with the commercial and estimating teams
  • Oversee health & safety performance and ensure robust site practices
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation across remediation techniques including the application of in-house and trademarked solutions
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior team members

You will have:

  • Proven experience delivering environmental remediation or ground engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of contaminated land legislation remediation techniques and relevant environmental standards
  • Project management skills including experience managing budgets contractors and multiple sites
  • Effective communicator with the ability to build strong client and team relationships
  • Comfortable working independently and managing remote projects across England and Wales
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ideally project or site management software
