Deutsche Telekom Technik GmbH a subsidiary of Telekom Deutschland GmbH provides the nationwide technical infrastructure of German tear one fixed and mobile network operator. Approximately 19000 employees at DT Technik are responsible for planning design and operations of technical facilities and systems. The company also implements network projects operates network technology and maintains the technical infrastructure.

Tribe Voice & Messaging is responsible for the design development planning validation and operation of all voice and messaging platforms within DT Techniks fixed and mobile networks throughout their entire lifecycle. We provide innovative and reliable state-of-the-art services to our customers.
The TAS-GK (Telephony Application Server - Business Customers) environment provides a voice over ip platform for business and wholesale customer (SIP-Trunk 1.0 Wholesale .G). Currently are hosted more than 200000 business customers from all business segments (S/M/L/XL).

Activities
Youll support the TAS-GK infrastructure team as an Systems Engineer to implement changes to operating systems built in a VM environment according to Deutsche Telekom Technik GmbH specifications.
- carry out changes in highest quality on telephony network infrastructures
- implement the continuous improvement / deployment of specific system modules in the task field
- ensure that operational activities remain on time
- ensure the implementation of security and compliance requirements in the task field
- carry out functional tests and derive necessary measures to ensure the production stability availability and security of applications/systems
- maintain constant communication with managers staff and vendors to ensure proper implementation of changes
- inspect & adapt analyze continuously what can be improved and implementing the necessary measures.
- perform error analysis and troubleshooting sessions provide reports
- prepare and administrate the own project repository and application within Magenta CI/CD repository

Must have skills
- Solid knowledge and experience of (Suse) LINUX and networking
- Ability to manage incidents changes and problem resolution
- Familiarity with backup&recovery concepts monitoring tools and performance analysis
- Sound knowledge of real-time IT-systems and IP based telecommunication concepts
- Knowledge and experience of non-cloud-based virtualization technologies
- Experience with: ITIL Framework (IM CM PM)
- Sound knowledge in pre-deployment and post-deployment testing
- Experienced with infrastructure automation
- Participation in the on-call duties is expected

You are accustomed to work in geographically distributed team using online tooling such as JIRA confluence Wiki Sharepoint teams and alike.

Qualifications :

Nice to have skills
- Technical degree or have completed vocational training in connection with multiple years of experience in the field of system engineering.
- Good working knowledge of the the IPv4 / IPv6 networking protocols / environments including the associated layers and protocols as well as security / access tools (firewalls)
- ITIL Framework service operation certification is an andvantage
- Knowledge and ideally practical experience in the areas of: cryptography PKI and authentication services are advantageous
- German language skills
- Occasional business trips
