Job Title: Associate Attorney Residential Portfolio Management
Location: North Carolina or South Carolina (Hybrid/Onsite as needed)
Pay: $70000 $90000 per year
Job Summary:
A well-established legal services provider is seeking an Associate Attorney to manage Residential Portfolio Management matters including evictions code enforcement and small claims proceedings. This role requires courtroom experience strong client service skills and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently while ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare review and approve eviction-related pleadings
- Represent clients in eviction code enforcement and small claims matters including contested cases
- Attend and manage mediations depositions and hearings (telephonic and in-person)
- Provide consistent updates and legal counsel to clients
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate documentation and case records
- Support special projects and other legal matters as assigned
Must Haves / Requirements Summary:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited institution
- Active Bar membership in North Carolina and South Carolina (in good standing)
- 35 years of experience in eviction or landlord-tenant matters
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage a large caseload independently
- Reliable timely and responsive to deadlines and client needs
- Professional demeanor and commitment to high-level client service
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced legal environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience handling courtroom litigation and property management legal matters
- Proficiency with legal software platforms or client portals
- Bilingual or multilingual skills a plus
