Job Description
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) plays a key role in managing patient flow throughout the clinic and providing direct assistance to providers in the care and treatment of patients. Patients span all age groups including infants children adolescents adults and geriatric individuals requiring compassionate and individualized care.
This position involves collaborative and delegated clinical tasks as defined by state regulatory boards and the clinics established scope of practice. The CMA works under the direction of providers the Clinic Supervisor and Clinic Manager to ensure efficient safe and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Perform standard rooming procedures
- Administer immunizations injections and medications as directed
- Collect laboratory specimens
- Support telephone triage and patient-provider communication
- Assist with prescription refills
- Perform x-ray duties (if certified)
- Conduct phlebotomy and in-clinic lab testing
Clinic Support
- Provide front desk/check-in assistance as needed
- Order and stock clinical supplies
- Assist with prior authorizations
- Carry out other administrative support tasks as required

- Actively participate in quality improvement and professional development
- Take direction from physicians RNs clinic supervisors and clinic managers
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential
- Current BLS certification (if required)
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinic operations and clinical procedures
- Ability to multitask and provide compassionate care in a fast-paced environment
