We are seeking an exceptional engaging and committed individual to join us as Revenues Assistant. We are seeking to recruit an experienced forward thinking highly motivated revenue practitioner with an extensive revenue knowledge and technical abilities.

Thurrock Council Revenue and Benefits Service has an exciting opportunity for a Revenue Assistant to join the Council Tax Team and is a key role in delivery of services to the residents of Thurrock.
The Revenue Team is responsible for administration of Council Tax and Non-Domestic Business Rate. We are seeking to recruit an experienced forward thinking highly motivated revenue practitioner with an extensive revenue knowledge and technical abilities.
The ideal candidate will have:
- In depth knowledge of Council Tax and Business Rates Legislation and how it is applied.
- In depth knowledge of all discounts exemptions and discretionary powers that local authorities have
- Excellent written & verbal skills.
- Ability to lead motivate and develop others enabling all to achieve their potential and provide a quality service.
- A strong commitment to improving service delivery to meet the needs of the client and service users.
