3 months contract with local authority
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor the cleanliness of the building and perform cleaning tasks as needed.
- Responsible for the domestic upkeep of the building with a focus on maintaining hygiene in areas such as the kitchen toilets and laundry areas.
- Undertake kitchen and dining room duties including laying and clearing tables when necessary.
- Perform laundry duties as required.
- Attend staff meetings as necessary.
- Receive regular supervision from a senior staff member and plan work to achieve required standards.
- Ensure safe storage of cleaning materials and monitor their supply.
- Observe personal responsibility for Health and Safety requirements and report related issues to managers.
- Undertake other duties at a similar responsibility level as directed by the Unit Manager or Deputy.
- Participate in necessary training programs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning and building maintenance.
- Knowledge of hygiene standards and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
- Willingness to undergo training as necessary.
Requirements: Full-time availability for a year Ability to work 36 hours per week Resilient and able to thrive in challenging situations Attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills Comfortable with confrontation and able to deal with difficult situations Availability for out-of-hours meetings and lone working Daily use of a car and a full driving license
