We are looking for a Business Insurance Placement Specialist to market property/casualtyinsurance risks.

A day in the life.

  • Responsible for marketing the new business and renewal accounts
  • Develop and maintain professional relationship with underwriters and brokers
  • Understand the regulatory legislative and legal issues surrounding critical business insurance situations including understanding of marketplace and market conditions.
  • Analyze the needs of clients risks to determine proper amounts and type of insurance coverage appropriate to treat those exposures.
  • Evaluate insurance coverage available in the marketplace to recommend options to producers and account managers on existing accounts and new business.
  • Negotiate with underwriters and brokers to achieve the most desirable combination of cost and coverage.
  • Provide technical assistance to producers and account managers regarding policy forms and endorsements rating plans and risk retentions options.
  • Review and evaluate losses safety inspections and recommendations offered by insurance carriers.
  • Utilize Agency Management System to track quotes in process and coverage bound and/or declined by carriers/brokers.
  • Prepare proposal from the quotes received from the insurance company to be used by producers.

Our future colleague:

  • Current Florida 2-20 License or ability to obtain
  • Minimum of 2 years commercial lines insurance experience preferably in marketing capacity with established carrier relationships
  • Working knowledge of Sagitta Agency Management System or willingness to learn
  • Possess good skills of persuasion and sales ability
